tasted the dishes.

chicken and pork soft bones both delicious.

small prawns this time from QBFood smaller than those from causeway pacific for same price same weight.

vegetables were sweet and great dish topped up with the prawns.

WT bought dinner at jing long along keong saik/neil road this evening on 5.10.2020.^^

his friend’s zi char place.

WT bought the crayfish & mutton saddle himself from tekka & got his friend to cook..his friend had not cooked mutton saddle pot 羊蝎子 before so WT suggested to him the condiments 配料 to add. it came out superb credit to the chef’s skills.👍👍👍

every dish good..

appetiser platter very good standard. 👍

mutton saddle pot 羊蝎子super good very tasty & flavourful & tender👍👍👍

the big yellow croaker 小黄鱼done very well too..

the 港蒸light soy sauce very good.👍👍

crayfish, scallops & appetiser platter all good.👍

Nice Simple Homecooked 3pax Dinner with OCH and Daughter N on 4Oct2020

OCH & daughter N came over for dinner on 4.10.2020.

N & C leaving for HK on wed 7.10.2020 and returning directly to USA afterwards.

the family stay in cupertino and N most recently visited singapore and HK in 2017.

I made-

  1. pumpkin arugula salad
  2. spanish omelette (tortilla)
  3. steamed cod
  4. seafood paella

N especially liked the paella. paella was very flavourful, with tasty chicken stock and lots of vegetables to balance the sweetness. and perfectly al dente.

i made paella (rather than pasta) & western dishes at N’s request as she said always had not great pasta at college, and they have good chinese food in HK. all the dishes finished.

nice simple dinner. had a good chat afterwards with father & daughter on USA and HK.

went cycling with KH at ECP CP E2 to fort road & back 13.8km in 1hr 27.5mins on 3.10.2020.^^

the daughter cooked a sumptuous yummy dinner 👍👍👍 true michelin star meal…most enjoyable👍

first was the razor clams. huge succulent razor clams, done just right, over a bed of tanhoon and lovely garlic soy sauce. excellent!

actually i not supposed to eat the dark colour liver bits – quite true as these absorbed all the chemicals and toxins…but in the past i ate everything, so today lagi finished all before i thought of it…

next was geoduck sashimi, using an ice pack which is better than using ice..very good!

the sauteed teriyaki cod with shimeji mushrooms, or perhaps steamed and drizzled over with sauce, was very good. perfect texture and taste.

青龙菜with shitake added a nice finish.

afterwards we had chinese pears.

very good evening, cycling, wonderful dinner and sharing with friends of many years, recently able to spend more time together.

SIL liked the dinner.

chicken with onions and scallions and garlic steamed red garoupa ah yat style the usual.

prawns were plump and succulent and flavourful on very sweet chinese cabbage 小白菜

& char siew was very good, tender moist and tasty.
