today is the 1st day of chinese new year. a friend sent me a CNY well wishes message comprising 6 phrases using words that sounded like 羊 or “goat” in chinese. that inspired me to think of various phrases with words sounding like 羊 (扬， 养，阳，洋，鸯，仰， 恙） here goes, for the fun of it –

祝你🐐年… 正月飛羊,  二子奉羊，三羊開泰,  四海羊名,  五不赞羊，六氣羊羊,  七世鸳鸯， 八方表羊，九九重羊，十分敬羊，百般羊望，千秋颂羊，万载发羊

the forgoing also uses words to make the whole list sounded like 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, 100, 1000, 10,000.. there are a few other phrases using words sounding like 羊 –

别来无恙，羊羊得意,  羊眉吐氣,  精神羊溢,  兴高彩羊，气宇飞羊,  飞羊腾达, 羊生有道, 羊光普照, 奉羊天年
