my friends didn’t feel like walking around cheung chau island, so we just strolled the streets & looked at the stalls & vendors.
towards the end, before leaving by ferry, we found a nice dessert stall that looks good, and was indeed very good & cheap. can’t recall the name of the shop though.
we ordered a fruit cocktail sago with coconut milk recommended by the proprietress. it was very good . i think about HK$23 or something.
the barley ginkyo nuts with tao huay was good too.
the black sesame paste 黑芝麻糊 was good, competent not superb. it came with the added extras of mochi 汤圆.
the dried orange peel red bean soup 陈皮红豆汤 was also good.
all the other 3 desserts were like HK$18, so the 4 dessert were like HK$77 or thereabout, and it was a very enjoyable experience even c/w lucky dessert 发记甜品 which cost like between 2x and 2.5x.
