sm organised 8pax lunch @ imperial treasure fine teochew ion orchard 2pm on 30.1.2021.^^

wife pre-ordered roast suckling pig.. this was the 南乳style we like, with crackling skin and thick pieces of tender juicy meat.

it was done very well today, excellent indeed!

the braised duck and trotters were very good too.

dimsum always top quality here… the best item was the crispy prawn cheong fun.

wife ordered the mustard vegetables. I thin minced pork was unusual…the dish was very good and tasty overall, and mustard vegetable texture was perfect!

& we always ordered the Teochew char kway teow…very good today…excellent woke!

excellent 3-course set lunch include coffee at S$65pax with amex love dining 1 for 1=S$32.5pax ++ nett really superb value

food excellent & really value for money.

antipasti & cheese plate very good. tarts platter ok.

bread basket ok..

sirloin was very good, beef was sweet, flavourful excellent balsamic reduction beef sauce.

risotto also excellent very good & tasty ..

& we had piccolo latte so 3-ourse lunch + coffee for $32.50pax

wife bought very nice unadon 3pax dinner @ uya wheelock on 24.1.2021.^^

the grilled eel here and at man man are so gooooood!

nice crisp bbq smoky flavours and tender eel flesh..tasty with bit of unagi sauce.

I prefer to eat as donburi…eating as porridge by adding very tasty dashi was great too.

we shared a parfait…this not comparable with sun with moon, can do without. but unagi I will come again.

YKK organised tour of eng wanton mee on 18.1.2021.^^

first we tried eng’s wanton noodle 287 tg katong rd

the gunpowder chilli really shiok..& the larpok too..both can add by yourself..

egg noodles was springy (though i still prefer hk stringy noodles) & taste very good with the chilli..

had the water chestnut drink ..quite sweet but nice ..I like…

afterwards crossed the road to try eng’s char siew wanton mee..

initial reception by the youngest sis not so friendly as she saw we came from the other stall

desmond ng the son came to talk to us & shared his story

overall 5 out of 6 myself included thinks eng’s wanton noodles just slightly better..

mainly becos the chilli more kick..& of course the convenience of helping yourself with chilli & larpok

the second bowl also slight disadvantage after we quite full from first bowl

but basically both equally good & we all quite happy to patronise eng’s char siew to support them

i had piccolo latte & others had charcoal latte flat white etc at 6 letter cafe..

not as good as tiong hoe at stifling road..somehow milk not well integrated into coffee don’t feel the microfoam & silky smooth texture flavours & coffee tasted more acidic

and also my son made better coffee with latte art! lol!
