made 7pax dinner this evening inc aunty bes on 5.6.2020.^^

during the 8 weeks covid circuit breaker, SM and JH couldn’t join dinner so we had our anniversary dinner w/o them. this evening they were able to join so we had the full family dinner. 🙂

mash & pumpkin puree & cauliflower puree excellent..wife,children loved it..

kurobuta & beef very good, bouillabaisse very tasty ..i think i will not add cream next time to have stronger unmasked tomato flavours..

vongole linguine excellent..the 2 clams both superb texture..

SM & JM joined dinner 1st time in 2mths.

made 6pax dinner for my brother yong siu family.

thai style whole fish curry is my new recipe. though it is not exactly the same as old holland road forture’s it is very good, nicely tangy and tasty and wonderful curry and vegetables.

i made my own curry rempah and added tomyam paste, very shiok dish!

will do up a recipe post soon! 🙂

claypot tanhoon and sambal sotong are usual dishes. my sil especially liked the claypot tanhoon prawns, said it was very tasty.

the key was the stock and also the proportions, so that stock was reduced to right amount, still wet and moist not soupy, while cooking the prawns and tanhoon just right. excellent dish.

sambal sotong key just not to overcook sotong, so it is fresh, succulent, perfect texture.

this my 3rd homecooked dinner for my brother since circuit breaker! 🙂

that is because of non democratic vested interest system failure..cannot remove gun rights,cannot negotitate with police union…USA is vested interest plutocracy masquerading as democracy.

actually the fact that even obama could do nothing shows there is very little hope of USA system whether it is called democracy or not.

I think the divisions and fault lines that a obama cannot heal is unbreachable after a trump

every ugliness is release and set free in USA

it is a system failure

the only way only chance America can go forward is if not only biden elected but GOP is smashed into oblivion & a new moral principled charitable true Christian GOP is reborned.

a friend asked “What if the democrats win the house the senate as well as the presidency. Trinity?”

Then GOP have the chance to be phoenix reborned

Younger more rational more charitable more moderate GOP with true republican values and emerge after all the racist bigots old bags are banished.

I don’t agree with low tax low welfare no infrastructure small government dogma or anti abortion anti gay rights but those are legitimate differences in view points and policy directions so it is democratic whether democrats or republicans are elected

gun rights and police union are not

those have to be resolutely opposed.

maybe there needed to be a 毒药 toxic deadly trump virus to poison corrupt decimate and shows its evil destructive powers for America to recover its morality & principles & righteousness and lead the world again….

made 4pax family homecooked dinner this evening on 31.5.2020. ^^

made my own rempah & added tomyam paste & coconut milk.

pound 2in lemon grass, fry with 1 stalk curry leaves, one sliced medium onion, add rempah, fry till fragrant, add cut lady fingers, add cut eggplant, add whole fish (i used ang choe – golden snapper today),cook for 10mins.

will do up a recipe later…here!

my first time trying a newly created recipe, trying to model forture old holland road’s thai style fish head.
quite excellent! wife and children all liked it…very sedap, tangy and tasty! and the vegetables were excellent too.
steamed pork softbones very good too – dimsum restaurant standard..

my brother & his helper cooked dinner for us & delivered this evening – 3 dishes 蛋炒粉丝、咖喱鱼头、白灼肉on 30.5.2020.^^

the belly pork was nice with the garlic chilli vinegar蒜泥醋. and nice fish head and tanhoon. ：-）

this period of covid , singapore implemented circuit breaker for 8 weeks. cannot eat out and visit, so mostly cook at home and order in meals.

i cooked for my brother’s 6pax family and delivered on 2 occasions, and my brother did the same for me last and this saturday.

it’s quite fun too. 🙂
