今晚会给你们马来人吃的隆冬（lontong）。里面大部分是各种不同的蔬菜，也有白饭。还有猪肉饺子。
also had small leather jacket – tek kia fish, and spicy minced pork ladyfingers.

A & KC hosted 6pax dinner at home on 30.10.2020. ^^..
their helper irene made excellent oven roasted pork ribs and bittergourd fish head ..
that was the best oven baked prime ribs i have taken. KC bought the expensive ribs from huber dempsey, and & trial tested the dish with irene, essence of a good chef…ribs were very meaty and fork tender and because it was very good ribs with good marbling it was not chunky but very tasty..excellent marinade…
the fish head also excellent, very meaty and tasty and flavourful, excellent dish.
plus 2 nice vegetable dishes – prawn chap chye and prawn asparagus.
I contributed a wine chicken dish. 🙂

went with wife for nice walk at gardens by the bay and marina barrage on 25.10.2020.
after walk, dropped by jessie & WM’s place for the best prawn bakut pig tail noodles.mo tak teng! totally!
had many times at Jessie’s liao.. …good every time…today super good…maybe didn’t take for too long liao! lol!
soup flavours so nice, smooth, flavourful, sweet.
bakut (pork ribs) and pig tail texture perfect and sweet, tasty. same for the prawns and the noodles done just right, thanks to the helper wati too…

wife took leave to prepare dinner. bought oysters & abalones at evergreen on 23.10.2020. ^^
oysters were excellent!
they opened the shells for you (so easier for son to shuck when eating later) & place in styrofoam box on ice bed..should consume in few hours
abalones also excellent..just steamed and drizzle with garlic light soy sauce..
wife bought sashimi (otoro, chutoro, hamachi, ikura, uni, etc) and son flamed the otoro..wife also made burrata, cold pasta..
wife also did the beautiful mirin steaks.
& aunthy bes made the deepfried wanton, grilled veg.
and SM brought the birthday cake.
had a really wonderful and memorable birthday dinner with my dearest family. thank you to wife and children for the enjoyable evening!

son made barista standard latte art beautifully smooth coffee on 13.10.2020 
the key to latte art is in the milk.
there are “intricate steps” to produce microfoam. son was explaining to me. to froth the milk at the top to produce foam and by the side of the milk pitcher to create circulation, until no big bubbles (ie smooth microfoam), then immerse frother to heat up milk.
didn’t sound too difficult but i have not tried my hands thus far, the benefits of not learning so being that got son to make coffee for me. lol! 🙂
it makes a huge difference to the cup of coffee…the microfoam blended completely to produce a silky smooth wonderful cup of coffee…the latte art is a bonus. son has not yet consistently produced the above latte art but for me the reward is in the wonderful cup of coffee, latte art or not.
not sure i fancy the trouble, or just happily resort to my nespresso and enjoy the occasional cup made by son.

daughter especially requested sambal eggs. aunty bes also made that curry chicken and prawn dishes.
I added 烧肉crackling & moist tender tasty inside.

went cycling with KH at ECP CP E2 to fort road & back 13.8km in 1hr 27.5mins on 3.10.2020.^^
the daughter cooked a sumptuous yummy dinner 
true michelin star meal…most enjoyable
first was the razor clams. huge succulent razor clams, done just right, over a bed of tanhoon and lovely garlic soy sauce. excellent!
actually i not supposed to eat the dark colour liver bits – quite true as these absorbed all the chemicals and toxins…but in the past i ate everything, so today lagi finished all before i thought of it…
next was geoduck sashimi, using an ice pack which is better than using ice..very good!
the sauteed teriyaki cod with shimeji mushrooms, or perhaps steamed and drizzled over with sauce, was very good. perfect texture and taste.
青龙菜with shitake added a nice finish.
afterwards we had chinese pears.
very good evening, cycling, wonderful dinner and sharing with friends of many years, recently able to spend more time together.
