与哥同行

日本樱花的向往
撮合了此次与哥同行
都是过了一甲子的人了
兄弟还没一起旅游过
家人一大伙回潮汕探亲
那倒是有的

光阴似箭，往事如烟
一转眼人也老了
“六十耳顺，七十随心所欲”
放下了，心境自然豁达
淡泊随缘，浅喜寸辉
阳光自在心中

来东京赏樱
也不少筹备
去年樱花早开了
所以安排3月26抵达
天不作美，两个星期的寒流
3有29才开第一花

抵达第一天
气温11度, 下连日雨
樱花都躲藏了起来
晚餐冒着大风雨气温7度
伞都吹反了3次
幸得下去都是晴天

住宿饮食都还称心
哥两都爱日料
韩式烧烤，和牛shabu
法式套餐外加两杯美酿
物美功细，色香味俱全
便宜超值又美味

日料饮食真是有一手
青出于蓝胜于蓝
拉面比中国拉面有过无不及
yakiniku 比韩国烧烤高尚
意面，披萨与意料比美
法餐甜品也都一流

酒店在隅田川
房窗面对晴空塔
清晨晚间观看窗外美景
早晨沿隅田川步行到浅草雷门
机场，上野公园，千鸟渊，银座，新宿
地铁都极其方便

安排了到河口湖住两宿
住宿正面对河口湖富士山
让哥体验民宿和旅馆风情
享受大浴场和怀石料理
漫步大石公园河口湖畔
徒步登山观光忠灵寺

这次哥两完美旅游
要归功哥的两位好友姐妹
热情款待陪伴
四处奔走查探花情
又安排了便当野餐花见
人间有情义，相见就是缘

如愿以偿
得赏新宿公园
目黑川樱花绽放风彩
蠢蠢欲动争先斗艳, 满开在即
终于看上了烂漫的樱花
圆满不虚此行

Traveling with My Brother

the longing for the cherry blossoms in Japan
brings about this trip with my brother
both of us have 60yrs behind us
but we’ve never traveled on holiday together
we did go as a family group back to Chao Shan
to visit our china relatives

time flies, memories wisp like smoke
in the blink of an eye, we are old folks now
“at sixty, we’re content; at seventy, we do as we please”
letting go, our minds are naturally free, open and relaxed
unaffected and go with the flow, finding joy in small things
sunshine naturally resides within our hearts

preparing for our Tokyo cherry blossom viewing
took some effort as well
last year, the cherry blossoms bloomed early
so we planned to arrive on March 26th
unfortunately, we encountered a two-week cold spell
the first blooms didn’t appear until March 29th

on the day of our arrival
the temperature was 11 degC, with continuous rain
cherry blossoms all went into hiding
dinner was amidst strong winds and heavy rain, with temperatures at 7 degC
the umbrella overblown three times
fortunately, it was sunny weather thereafter

we were happy with both accommodation and food
both my brother and I love Japanese cuisine
korean barbecue, wagyu shabu-shabu
french course lunch with two glasses of wine
good ingredients and fine preparation, exquisite presentation, delightful aroma, and taste
affordable, value for money, and delicious

Japanese cuisine is truly remarkable
the student surpasses the master
ramen is better than chinese ramen
yakiniku is more refined than korean barbecue
pasta, pizza are on par with Italian cuisine
french dining and desserts are also top-notch

our hotel is by the Sumida River
with a view of Skytree from our room window
enjoying the beautiful scenery outside the window in the morning and evening
in the morning, walking along the Sumida River to Asakusa’s Senso-ji Temple
the airport, Ueno Park, Chidorigafuchi, Ginza, Shinjuku
all extremely convenient by the subways

we arranged to stay two nights in Kawaguchiko
our accommodation directly face Mount Fuji by Lake Kawaguchiko
allowing my brother to experience the charm of guesthouses and inns
enjoying the Japanese onsen culture and kaiseki cuisine
strollin along Oishi Park and Lake Kawaguchiko lakeside
hiking and sightseeing at Chureito Pagoda

this trip with my brother was perfect
thanks to his two good friends, 2 sisters
for their warm hospitality and company
they traveled around to check out cherry blossoms flowering
and arranged a bento picnic to view the cherry blossoms
friendship and fate brought us together

our wishes came true
we visited Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
and witnessed the colorful cherry blossoms along the Meguro River
eagerly awaiting full bloom(“mankai”), which was just around the corner
finally, we beheld the lush cherry blossoms
this trip was a complete success.
