JH’s family invited us for dinner at their place on chinese new year day 1 on 5.2.2019. ^^
JH’s dad is a professional chef so we always look forward to enjoying his food. 🙂
the buddha jump over the wall is always good.
today there was a bigger crowd and PK had to cook more soup, so taste wise the soup was not as intense as what we had recently. still it was very good.
today he made broccoli with chinese mushrooms. it was good.
somebody brought roast suckling pig with glutinous rice. great stuff!
the scallops with asparagus always good.
nice stock base, scallops succulent and asparagus texture just right.
JH’s mom”s vinegared trotters as good as always, perfect texture and the taste was just right, tasty slight sour from vinegar. KY said she used 6 trotters, anyway all finished. 🙂
JH’s sis J made thai fishcake. she used dory and batang fish meat. very nicely done and great with the sweet thai chilli.
JH’s dad made his hae chor… good!
and we had lohei. so many people so we had 2 lohei….JH’s mom’s side family doing a lohei toast together.

had a busy day today starting with breakfast at my brother’s place, then visit LCH, the CNM wife’s good friends, and back and chill out in the afternoon before coming for dinner.
