after full day trip to shenzhen & a very good dinner at ,
WM & i were back at prince station. we decided to go to Hoi Kee Walnut Place 海記合桃坊甜品 to have something cold & to chill on 13.9.2017. ^^
hoi kee like always, had a good crowd of customers, but turnover is fast, so we got our seats with no waiting…
we were like the only foreigner here, maybe there was 1 table with koreans…
usually we would go for the paste. really it is the thing to take in hong kong as they do that very well every shop you go, whereas other not traditional dessert we get easily in singapore.
this evening though, we wanted a change so went for the more contemporary dessert.
i ordered the durian ice cream dessert 榴莲雪乐冰。
it was way off the 榴莲飘雪Durian Macha Dessert at Honeymoon Dessert 满记甜品 though.
i guess kind of expected. not their forte here so nice but just mediocre. durian is sweeter far less flavour c/w honeymoon dessert’s 榴莲飘雪.
WM took the mango blueberry dessert.
nice dessert too!
anyway tonight our last evening in hong kong before returning to singapore.
we wanted to chill a bit more & being greedy in ordered another lotus seeds with tao huay 莲子豆腐花.
the lotus seeds were ok just not infused enough with syrup, the tau huay was very smooth. i think the sugar should be a syrup instead…
WM ordered his favourite 炖蛋. still nice too, almost like a sweet chawan mushi …this one really not my kind of dessert la…
we had a great time chillin gout.
final bill came to HK$120 after we added 炖蛋 & lotus seeds with tao huay 莲子豆腐花. 🙂
