wrong day to visit restaurant on 15th day 初一十五

service non existent

wanted to try alacarte buffet but gave up too difficult as servers no time to reply to any enquiry

ordered alacarte luckily dishes were great but too expensive.

the truffle mushroom soup very flavourful. kale soup also good.

suresh recommended brown rice & satay both were great!.also ordered maps tofu quite unique crisp outside soft inside and nice dip on the side. the wrap was good too, vegetarian Peking duck…lol!

still we had enjoyable lunch together.

the eel porridge was superb..very flavourful, sweet, perfect texture..something different

lobster bun (beehoon) really lovely especially the beehoon with all the tomalley sauce gravy

ban seo very good too, not starchy , very good ingredients belly pork & prawns & crabmeat..

both the rice roll & crispy rolls were good.

pho was ok but missing the essential flavour of thai basil

was a wonderful dinner

quite happy to come try the set lunches sometimes too.

this restaurant by chef Julian Royer of 3 michelin star odette and Lon& behold group at the location of previous white rabbit

2 course set lunch $62 & 3 course $78.

eggplant caviar & grilled leeks both very good..

beef provencale very well done as best a braised beef can be..not my favourite dish but not much choice

beef tartar was excellent one of the best very sweet & tasty a bit vinegary..

pigeon was excellent too

dessert were pretty good..I like the apple crumble best…

great dishes if not really my favourite dishes & too expensive for the dishes

I enjoy set lunch better at spago or la tapiera

we had fish & chips, truffle chicken, cajun chicken & prawn & mushrooms mentaiko pasta

food ok la..

fish & chips and chicken quite ok passable, mentaiko pasta way, way below par, presentation not good looked like carbonara, quite tasteless & frozen prawns not done well grilled would be better than boiled or steamed..

after lunch hian hai bought kopi and we talked till past 3pm…

very nice lunch and afternoon with old pals and bros…

this evening we tried several chef Gabriel new dishes..

hamachi tartar

funghi risotto with foie gras

grilled octopus

wagyu hangar steak

the usual great dishes lobster squidink pasta & ohmi A5 wagyu are just excellent

& the desserts tiramisu & coconut panna cotta just fabulous

all excellent

cannot find fault leh..

grilled octopus I agree with sulin la tapiera better..texture was perfect but didn’t have the charred bbq Smokey flavours
