wife booked this place for the next 3 nights, 9-12.5.2015. it was an excellent choice.
andrew, the host, was really friendly, cheerful & helpful. he was very busy of course managing the breakfast. the settee was not occupied, and later as he cleared 1 table, he welcomed us to take from the breakfast spread. we took some coffee.
lynsey guided us to couple maps from the bookshelf & andrew told us we could take them with us in our car. we forgot to return the maps when we checked out on 12.5.2015 for st ives. so on 14.5.2015, after leaving st ives, we passed by glencree house & returned the maps. 🙂
we later checked into trevose harbour house B&B at st ives, which was another excellent & much more luxurious B&B. breakfast was almost identical though trevose had a bit more expensive stuff, but we both agreed the breakfast at glencree was better. must be andrew’s cooking!^^
we had breakfast for 3 days. for the first breakfast on 10.5.2015, my wife had the smoked salmon on scrambled eggs.
it was good, but obviously my big breakfast was better, so my wife switch to that for the next 2 days.
no need to ask why big breakfast? 2 sausages, 2 back bacon, 2 over easy, good helping of button mushrooms, 1 large tomato, & beans.
the farm sausages & baked beans i could do without so i skipped those the next 2 days. this guy’s over easy really good standard. haha! 🙂
i liked the kellogg’s fruit & fibre very much.
well, actually i liked the strawberries & blueberries very much!
& they go so well with the kellogg’s fruit & fibre.
on the second day i also had the bread. i liked especially the homemade jam, fruit preserve.
we had a really excellent & enjoyable stay at glencree house. 🙂
room was ok. ours on level 3. room was not big but quite ok. bed & bedding were ok. good coffee bags & lots of tea. toilet was small but ok. towel reel was heated in the evening. we never used the tv. wifi in room was ok, sometime a bit slow. basic room really, well provided for the price. we were happy with it.
