S$5 wanton noodles still very nice, qq very tasty and just the right spiciness..(though like 2 young boys running it)

still the special recipe one scoop of stock wet wanton noodles very tasty..

have not taken easily more than 5 years…but kok kee still best for me…

not sure better than eng but very satisfying..best or among the best wanton noodles I had..

a treasure bowl ofchokefulof ingredients…

really good chokeful of ingredients…really excellent tasting soup & sweet fresh pig organs..

afterwards we wanted to have coffee at CSH but it closes on mon.

Had nice piccolo latte & flat white at two bakers ..silky smooth flavour coffee as good as CSH or tiong hoe

this stall has the best 白斩鸡in Singapore, super smooth, sweet, best tasting & texture..rice & chilli excellent too..

only issue is price..

used to be S$18 for 1 whole chicken becos it is a small chicken (kampung chicken size) ..after malaysia stopped imports, in a space of few weeks went from S$18 to S$32..the arithmetic a bit problematic..business looks like dropped 2/3 whatever…

the drumstick is very tiny…but nice leh…

sharks bone chicken soup was good but still quite way off c/w spring court

steamed garoupa very good

minced duck with cabbage done quite well too

& claypot rice very good, very fragrant flavourful

don’t really like the wax belly quite tough ..the liver sausage was excellent & the sausage good too

evanz brought her contento chocolates- earl grey, rum & salted caramel..all 3 very good..I like the earl grey best

always like this place..

more of comfort food done competently..tasty and not too expensive.

ordered the favourite dishes – duck salad, oyster crispy egg sheets, fish maw soup, sea cucumber duck and noodles.

few other items like kongbakpao also good. I don’t order cos carbs…the sambal crayfish also good but quite expensive like S$45 for 3 large crayfish…I guess actually ok but we didn’t need today…
