university of ljubljana

today is our last day in slovenia, taking the evening flight to istanbul with overnight layover then enroute to naples next morning.

we went for a morning walk before checking out the apartment.

our apartment is located next to the university of ljubljana and the city park.

Ursuline Church of the Holy Trinity

past the university oon the other end of the park away from the river is Ursuline Church of the Holy Trinity.

we walked past the restuarants with river side al fresco dining and wonderful ambience.

we walked past the shops along cini metodov trg where the cathedral st nicholas is located, with beautiful sculpture on its walls and metal doors..

central market

and came to the central market, located at vodnikov trg, whichmarket building stretches from the triple bridge to the dragon bridge.

there were fruits, vegetables and cured meat stalls etc.

deepfried anchovies

we bought deepfreid anchovies.

it was fresh and sweet, pretty ok.

we walked back to triple bridge and looked at the pink franciscan church at preseren square in broad daylight. 🙂

looking in the direction of triple bridge & dragon bridge beyond

 a nice morning walk. we decided to have brunch at slovenska hisa by teh riverside.
