had 5pax RI bros lunch @ SICC bukit cafe on 29.9.2020.^^

sicc bukit cafe and 19th hole serves excellent local hawker food, and indian, western, breakfast items etc.

all my RI bros loved the food.

the best had to be char kuay teow…other than hai kee at telok blangah crescent i have not had better hawker char kuay teow.. now the outram road ckt at hong lim quite poor.

ngoh hiang and rojak here also very good. white carrot cake also very good.

hokkien mee is good too but more ordinary like what we get outside.

chendol though a waste of time. at S$4.50 vs S$2.80 just paying for ice cream i didn’t need. will stick to cheng tng and ice kachang next time.

had prata gosong & teh tarik gosong with RI bros @ springleaf restaurant jln tua kong on 28.9.2020.^^

the excuse for getting together was US Open tennis men’s final match. ^^

prata was good standard freshly made.

i took 2 gosong.

outside was crispy, dough can be more flavourful though.

fish curry was good too…

had a wonderful lunch with a architect friend @ la tapiera shaw centre on 23.9.2020. ^^

they have a great value S$38 3-course lunch set.

also with stanchart card, one can get S$20 discounts for S$100 spend (before Service & GST).

we ordered asparagus with serrano ham and grilled octopus (S$6 supplement each well worth it)…both good for sharing and good sized portions. really delicious dishes, quite excellent!

for mains, i love my lamb rump and my friend ordered the black angus strip loin (250g). (S$15 supplement)…

for dessert we shared churros & pavlova…nothing special to say there..

a relaxing, enjoyable lunch.

deepfried wanton was wonderful.

belly pork was both crackling & blistered 酥脆👍it’s a thin strip..so mostly still moist tender some parts harder.

squid with cauliflower puree excellent.

crab cake very good too & chilli crab chilli not too spicy ..not sure any resemblance of chilli crab sauce lol!
chorizo prawns good too.

crabmeat squid ink pasta & paella very tasty & perfect al dente texture.

wife’s veracruz halibut &mirin steak excellent too.

& we had J’s michelin platter & kueh salat too. most enjoyable.

very yummy delicious dinner & fun evening with our good friends & buddies.

the RI bros east coast plan gorup organised the lunch.

east coast plan chong lee, kim kong, chak joo, boon teck bought birthday cake for chew hwa &fruits- super sweet langsak, and longan and clementine.

白斩鸡 chicken rice chicken & chilli etc perfect today, very smooth, tender, moist and tasty, and homemade chilli was superb too.

black bean sauce pork softbones always tasty and gimson nonya sauce seabass was wonderful especially with larpok. 

＆　very sweet small chinese cabbage 小白菜

enjoyable, delicious lunch with RI bros.

went to friend’s mom’s wake on 21.9.2020.

afterwards 3 of us had S$4 chicken laksa at clementi food centre.

chicken was sweet & tasty & good laksa gravy.

WM gave some curry beef shin made by j …very good
