my helper did a red fermented bean curd cloud fungus mushroom chicken腐乳云耳香菇鸡丁 today on 5.2.2016. ^^
this my 4th friday breakfast community meal at teban gardens community service centre (CSC).
i first started doing a community meal dish for teban gardens CSC on 8.1.2016.
the centre was started in 2002 after much effort & challenge by our RI friend who is a pastor of pasir panjang hill brethren church (pphbc) which owns & runs the CSC.
this dish was especially popular today. everyone liked it, the residents, the volunteers alike. 🙂
my helper used the softer small cloud fungus, not the large thick black fungus.
she fried the soaked fungus & chinese mushrooms with the red fermented bean curd & sliced ginger to bring out the flavours. then added the diced chicken & cooked for 30minutes.
then she steamed in the steam oven for another 45mins.
it was a simple dish to do.
there are regular attendees for this teban gardens friday community breakfast, last week there were like 100 people, this week looks a bit lesser, also i had to take leave a bit earlier, but probably it would still be over 80.
great place for the residents & older folks to gather, have a good meal & get in touch a bit.
