our RI buddy P, resident in london, was in town & he arranged a 11pax zichar dinner @ long hua zichar blk 168 bedok south ave 3 on 26.6.2018. ^^
(HAB missed dinner, joined WC viewing at CL’s place afterwards)
after dinner we adjourned to CL’s place to watch world cup match France vs Denmark super boring first 0-0 game for this world cup..

1st time i come to this long hua zichar @ blk 168 bedok south ave 3.
many dishes P ordered were quite good. 🙂
排骨王 was good, tender & the sauce not too sweet & quite tasty.
not my favourite zichar dish but i didn’t mind it also..
the roast chicken was good, quite competent.
the breast meat still not the most tender & moist, so can still improve, but overall pretty ok.
the claypot lover was quite an excellent dish.
liver was “medium rare” parts still pinkish, fresh & tender, and a very tasty dish.
i almost never have this dish for many years. after this i went back and cooked the dish myself twice & it was pretty good too. lol! 🙂
the deepfried soonhock was very good.
fish was done well, crispy, tender & tasty…everyone liked the taste & sauce…
the 虾录 fried big prawns was also very good. everyone liked this dish.
i did a similar dish with different sauce =a dry wok garlic jumbo prawns = often some years back, though not over the recent 3 years. maybe i will do it again.
there was a claypot sea cucumber or 一品煲 dish.
it was an ok dish but non too impressive. i think again missing a good tasty stock, so the dish like just thin oysters sauce taste and not a very tasty dish…
the scallop broccoli dish had large plump scallops but wasn’t done that well, good ingredients but not tasty.
broccoli was poached, which was ok, but maybe there was no tasty stock to enhance the flavours, the large scallops were like just boiled in water…
fried rice was flavourful, good wok hae.
it was added later, as P thought the guys were still hungry & needed more carbs. lol! 🙂
the hor fun was actually the first dish served.
it had super wok hae, very flavourful dish, very well done.
couldn’t really remember th price but it should be aroung S$280 for 11pax…not ex also not particularly cheap for these zichar dishes.
anyway we had a really good time, very enjoyable dinner with old friends. and many dishes like deepfried soon hock, fried large prawns, claypot liver and hor fun were quite delicious and the pork ribs, roast chicken were good too.
after dinner we adjourned to CL’s place to watch world cup soccer.

Hi c.h.e.f andy, I stumbled upon your post ‘Good Claypot Liver & Zichar Dishes @ Loong Hua Seafood on 26Jun2018’ and I am heartened by the good review you gave. I saw that they are no longer at Bedok South, would you know if they are still operating and if so, where have they moved to? I love their food and I miss it so much as I have been eating there since I was a child. Any news or clues of them will be useful, thank you much!
