was running some errands at hollandv. happened to walk past the hawker centre & saw this commonwealth crescent fai zai eatery bakchormee stall, i guess relocated from commonwealth crescent hawker centre.
while my preference is meepok tar, the jalan tua kong stall style at 6th avenue, i also like the tai wah style at crawford centre & hong lim food centre. they are a bit far to drive so a decent bakchormee stall at hollandv would be great! 🙂
the stall sells fishball noodles, bakchormee, pork rib prawn mee & liver meesua etc. as it was off-peak hours (only time i go to hollandv if i can help so can get parking easily), there was only 1 customer before me, so no much waiting. i got the S$3.50 small bakchormee. 🙂
the noodle was qq, just nice, al dente. the mixing sauce of chilli, vinegar. mushroom sauce was great, tasty & average spicy! there were 3 meatballs, 4 pieces of liver & a pile of minced pork.
overall i thought the noodles were pretty good. tai wah’s & T3’s probably better, but it was ok enough for me if i want a change from the jalan tua kong meepok tar at 6th avenue.
